My style Japanese Sukiyaki Dipping Sauce

My husband loves Sukiyaki style hot pot at home. It’s easy and more simple for him, not as much varieties and preparation as those as Chinese style hotpot. This is the dipping sauce I made him and he really likes it. Note: this is not the traditional Japanese Sukiyaki dipping sauce so don’t complain!

So yea, we were having Sukiyaki tonight for dinner to put a beautiful end to our 4-day Easter holiday. Here it’s how I prepare the dipping sauce:

For each serve –

INGREDIENTS:

1 Egg yolk
1 tsp Mirin
Half tsp sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp soy sauce paste/oyster sauce
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tbsp Japanese Soba sauce
Pinch of toasted sesame seeds
Pinch of chopped spring onion

>> Add everything to a dip saucer

Ready to go!
